Leipzig of Germany

The postcard shows a piece of Leipzig's city center.

Leipzig is the largest city in the federal state of Saxony, Germany.
Leipzig is derived from the Slavic word Lipsk which means "settlement where the lime trees stand. In 1937, under the ruler of Nazi government, the city was then renamed as Reichsmessestadt Leipzig.
